Questions About Registering for Camp

How do I register my child for summer camp?

Please visit our Camp Registration page to see which days and weeks have open spots for campers.

Am I required to register for a full day/week of camp?

Most Camp KGA campers choose to attend for a full week. For each week of camp, there are a limited number of daily spots. If you are interested in attending camp for fewer than five days, please register via the "a la carte" option. If any day has a waitlist of "a la carte" campers, we will use our discretion to open more spots. Camp KGA hours are 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday thru Friday.

Campers ages 2-5 may choose to attend TumbleBugs Camp for a full week or a select few days. The choice is yours! TumbleBugs Camp hours are 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday thru Friday.

When do I pay for camp?

When you register for Camp KGA, you will be charged a 50% deposit to secure your spot. This deposit will then be applied towards your tuition. At any time, you may log into your Parent Portal to make payments towards your camper's tuition. All remaining camp tuition and fees will be charged on May 1, if not paid prior.

How do I cancel my registration?

Should you need to cancel, please email office@kgagym.com as soon as possible. The cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

Cancel 2+ weeks prior to the Monday of your registered week: 100% refund, minus the non-refundable $75 deposit

Cancel 1 week prior to the Monday of your registered week: 50% refund

What should I do if my child can no longer attend a camp day/week for which they are registered?

If you have registered for a day or week of camp that you can no longer attend, please inform us as soon as possible by emailing office@kgagym.com or calling (502) 254-1010.

Can my TumbleBug stay a full day with an older sibling?

TumbleBugs Camp will take place at Kentucky Gymnastics Academy located at 1160 Avoca Station Court in Louisville, while Camp KGA takes place on our 30-acre property located at 2800 S. English Station Road in Louisville. Therefore, it is not possible for a TumbleBug to stay a full day with an older sibling.

Should I purchase my camper's lunch in advance?

If your camper is a TumbleBug, please note that you must pack your child's lunch for each day of camp.

Older campers attending Kids' Great Adventure (Camp KGA) may purchase lunch for $11 (+tax) per day ($55 per full week). If your camper chooses to purchase lunch, you must purchase the meal plan at the time of registration via the camp registration page. Please note that choosing this option means you are purchasing lunch for each day your child is registered. Campers may also choose to bring their own lunch.

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

Our camper-to-counselor ratio is 10:1. At the beginning of the week, campers will be placed in a small group with campers of a similar age and a counselor. Though campers are free to enjoy Camp KGA activities however they wish throughout the day, they will meet up with their group and counselors periodically and for drop-off, lunch, and pick-up. Counselors are actively participating in daily camp activities, so a counselor (or five!) is never far away from a camper at any given time.

Are camp counselors trained? Are they certified in CPR and first aid?

Every single one of our camp counselors goes through thorough qualification and training in order to work at Camp KGA. This training includes "mock" camp days and a detailed Counselor Handbook that all counselors are expected to follow at all times. Additionally, many of our counselors bring ample experience in the activities with which they help out.

All Camp KGA employees are certified in CPR and have received First Aid training. Camp KGA also employs a nurse who is on-site at all times during camp hours.

In addition to our camp counselors, Camp KGA has specially trained and certified lifeguards on staff to ensure the lake is always a fun and safe environment for campers to play and cool off.
